Whole Kymi figs with almond and cloves. A real embroidery! The first figs of the year are called "wind figs". We collect them from May and peel them one by one by hand. Their crunchy texture is pleasantly combined with the syrupy almond, cloves and a little natural lemon juice.
Characteristic shine and natural sweetness, dotted with numerous blond seeds. Like the aroma of Greek summer in a jar, our homemade jams are made from Kymi figs and black figs. The only additional ingredients are sugar and natural lemon juice which, while delicious, basically functions as a natural – and exclusive – preservative. Fig jam is known for its high content of dietary fiber as it maintains the properties of fresh figs! It helps dissolve sugars and is recommended for its laxative function. Having a given place in breakfast in combination with freshly baked bread, our jams are also recommended as an accompaniment for savory yellow cheeses.
A recipe with Asia Minor root, adapted to the Kymi fig. Dried figs with walnuts, dipped in honeydew and accompanied by bay leaves. The mild sweetness gives a mysterious dessert, which, however, is also excellently combined with meat, fish or varieties of cheese and salads.
